terms
Founding access is alpha access, not a finished-app promise.
FocusLatch is being built in public around a Mac-first commitment blocker. These terms keep the launch honest while the signed app and recovery model are still under construction.
Early-access status
The current website validates demand and collects founding interest. A paid founding checkout, when enabled, reserves alpha access and product updates. It does not mean a final production app is available immediately.
Safety boundary
FocusLatch intends to block distracting sites at the operating-system level. Strong blocking can affect normal browsing. Production releases must include a recovery/uninstall path. Do not run experimental commands against system files unless you understand the risk and have an approved recovery path.
Refunds and fulfilment
If founding checkout is enabled before a signed Mac alpha is ready, the checkout page and post-payment page must say that clearly. Refund handling will be provided through the payment provider and support channel for buyers who do not want to wait for the alpha.
No guarantee of outcomes
FocusLatch can reduce access to selected distractions, but it cannot guarantee productivity, income, mental-health outcomes, academic results, or complete resistance to every bypass. Use it as a commitment tool, not a medical or professional service.
